There is something magnetic about a pier by the ocean. It’s a pathway into the forbidden. Man wasn’t made to walk on water, but a pier allows a person to venture out past the shore above a place of mystery and fear. Since you can’t see below the shimmering reflections on the surface, you don’t know what may be lurking below. But we feel safe and want to walk out, almost as if someone had dared us to.

Thanks Daryl. Black and white is not my strong point, so I’ll have to practice more in the coming year.
