Madison’s Lion

The more photos I take, the more I start to “see” things differently. I’m guessing most photographers would say the same thing. What many people might only glance at, I now stop and do a double take.

This tired kitty was resting quietly above the gardens at Montpelier, the home of President James Madison in Orange, Virginia. A year or two ago, I might not have given it a second look. I’m glad I did.

  1. Tim, I absolutely agree with your statement about photographers seeing things differently. I went through the same progression as you are talking about. I began stopping and doing double takes, but now I feel like I am just seeing everything like it is a finished picture. Have you checked out HDR spotting? If you would like and invite, let me know. As usual, wonderful photography. Well composed in its simplicity.

    1. An invite to HDR Spotting would be great. Thanks! The examples there are awesome. I just realized that it’s one of Trey’s sites too.
