A Walk to Trafalgar Square

It was a typical, dreary London day. We were in the heart of London on a walking tour and made our way down Whitehall from Parliament Square. The sites and sounds of London were incredible, despite the gloomy weather. The air had a slight chill at times, but we were too impressed with everything to notice.

By the time we reached Trafalgar Square, it started to sprinkle. Most people didn’t seem bothered about the rain and sure enough, it ended soon. While the view was great, the skies just didn’t cooperate for superb travel photos. But then again, this is what we expected in London.

Like most stops on our trip, we had a limited time to take it in, which meant a few family photos, then a quick survey of the area and a few quick shots. I could never travel far from the group, since it was easy to get lost in the crowds (which happened more than once). So I had to survey, compose and shoot in a relatively small area of a much larger area. This usually menat that I didn’t get the best views and certainly not the best time of day. But I was thrilled to be there and appreciated the time we had and the things we saw. Like I tell those who ask, I’d go back in a heartbeat.
