All American Angel

The Navy’s Blue Angels and the Air Force’s Thunderbirds are a symbol of our military’s capability and can-do attitude. The Pensacola Naval Air Station is the home of the Blue Angels. At the National Naval Aviation Museum, you can learn more about the “Blue’s” and view previous versions of these great aircraft, as this one in Hanger Bay One.

Find out more about the P2V-1 Neptune, aka the Truculent Turtle hanging from behind here.

  1. Every time I look at your excellent shots from aircraft museums makes me think about visiting the Smithsonian Air & Space which is only a few miles from where I live. Must make time! Must make time!!

  2. YES, you must go! Immediately! It’s an awesome museum, except for the crowds. They don’t allow tripods, but I was able to use a small table top tripod to hold against my chest, wall or something to help stabilize some slower exposures.
