Running Through the Louvre The Louvre in Paris is the most visited and one of the largest museums in the world. When in Paris, we stopped there after seeing La Sainte-Chapelle. After clearing security to enter, we only had an hour. AN HOUR! In that time, we barely made it through the building to see Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa, then return to meet our group. We didn't plan it that way, but sometimes things just go awry. I literally had to shoot as I walked (jogged sometimes) down the halls and hoped I had something to show for it. With no time to read plaques, or take notes, this was one statue in the hallway I shot on the run. Let me know if you recognize the statue and its artist.
The Phantom and the Turtle In the corner of Hanger Bay One at the National Naval Aviation Museum are the P2V-1 Neptune, aka the Truculent Turtle and the F-4N Phantom II from the aircraft carrier Midway.
Car Show Etiquette I enjoy taking photos at car shows, but not because of the awesome shots you can get. Truth is, it's the car that usually makes the photo, not the photographer. I enjoy a great looking car as much as the next guy and if done right, you don't need a great sunset in the background or other additive to enhance the shot, just a sharp, beautiful car. Sure, there are some technical challenges to overcome like glare, reflections, bad light and such. But the biggest challenges have nothing to do with the car. Instead they are the visitors and the car owners themselves.
