The Louvre Pyramid and Fountains The Louvre Palace in Paris is well known for many things, such as how large it is, the quality of the art inside and the large, glass pyramid outside. The Louvre Pyramid is made of glass and metal, that breaks down to a total of 673 glass panes. It is surrounded by three smaller pyramids and several fountains in the main courtyard.
View from the Outfield Recently, when I go to a ball game, I've started getting up and walking around the ballpark. Yes, I'm usually taking photos as I go, but I enjoy getting to experience the different vantage points you can watch the game from. Sure, there are the coveted seats behind home plate, but there are a lot of other interesting places from which to view the game. This view is from centerfield. It's a bit far for my taste, but it's less crowded and you stand a better chance of getting a home run ball than the guys behind the bases. This is another view of Constellation Field in Sugar Land, TX.
Notre Dame de Paris We first saw the Notre Dame de Paris cathedral at night, and even then you could see it was something to marvel at. We didn't tour the inside until later and it was just as grand on the inside. European history is so much more fascinating than America's, since everything is so much older and full with centuries of history. This cathedral was started in 1163 and completed in 1345. It has been restored a few times since, but still holds true to its original design.
