The Mecom Fountain at Christmas The Mecom Fountain is a Houston landmark. For travelers between the Medical Center and downtown, this is a common sight. Though the fountain lights do not change color, the area Christmas lights still help make the atmosphere bright and festive. This scene is peeking through the trees of the Hotel ZaZa. The area is heavily traveled and the colored lines are the cars going by. It took a bit of timing not to get only the bright headlights of the cars passing. The reds and yellows of the taillights work much nicer for that touch of color.
The Apostles in La Saint-Chapelle Mounted on the clustered shafts that separate the great windows in La Saint-Chapelle are twelve larger than life-sized sculpted stone figures representing the twelve Apostles.
Rudolph, with Attitude DECEMBER 21, 2012 LEAVE A COMMENT (EDIT) Flying high up in the sky, free as a bird and out in front of everyone else, but with a big red nose. You might think it’s Rudolph, the Red Nose Reindeer, but not if you’re flying these little airplanes around. They may not be large, but they are plenty fast. Many airplanes have displayed the teeth on the front, most noticeably the shark teeth on the Flying Tigers from World War II. Let’s face it, any sharp teeth on the nose of an airplane is going to make it meaner and faster. I would not want it chasing me in a dog fight.
