Yellow Kayak I've always liked the water, but have never lived close enough to a large body of water to enjoy water sports on a regular basis. About a year ago, my daughter and I started kayaking occasionally. I guess she figured I needed the exercise, because about half way out, she'll stop paddling and it's up to me to "pull my weight". We always have a great time and hope to continue this summer. This pretty scene is my friends secret get-away, right outside their backdoor.
Texas Armadillo The lowly armadillo is mostly considered a pest, especially if you discover they've been digging up your yard or flowerbed. They have terrible eyesight and will walk right by you if you hold still. There are many species to be found, but one type is very easy to identify. It's the Texas Armadillo. It will be the one flat on it's back, guzzling a bottle of Lone Star. If it's drinking anything else, it's a Texas-want-to-be. This wood carving was found at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo vendor area.
Vacation is Over It’s been a week or more with no staff meetings, conference calls or deadlines. You slept in late, ate out a lot and did some site-seeing. Now, as night time falls, you sigh, thinking all this ends soon. But you’re grateful for the vacation you just had and for a job to go back to. Life may have its struggles, but moments like these you tuck away, to remember later and encourage you through until your next vacation. The Pensacola Beach Fishing Pier is a great place to view the sunset or sunrise. Go out past the surf, where it’s quiet and a great place to reflect on things.
