The Luxor Sphinx A trip to Las Vegas is a feast for the eyes. There is so much visual overload, it's hard to take it all in. Each casino has it own attractions and great things to enjoy, but the Luxor has a style all it's own. With the Egyptian motif and unique pyramid structure, it feels more like a museum than a casino. This is a large sphinx, just one of many realistic statues to be found inside the large, black pyramid.
The Bumblebee Bounce It was a long day at the rodeo and I was about to leave. I never actually saw the rodeo, but opted for the vendor area, livestock show and carnival. I figured there was enough to shoot there and I was right. I was leaving and turned for one last look and saw the ferris wheel through this "bee" ride and thought I might try some motion effects. This one had just enough blur to see what it was, while still looking like it's moving.
Austin Night Lights Walking around any downtown area at night is an entirely different experience than during the day. Lights become your focal point and draws your eye to see things that go unnoticed during the day. This is a little slice of downtown Austin, just as the trees begin to bud for springtime. After daytime sessions at SXSW, it was fun to stretch our legs and find a few things to photograph.
