Playtime in the Pool The last time I went to the zoo, I only had an hour before it would get dark. There were only a few large animals that were moving about, including the cheetah and the elephants, but not in the same enclosure of course. They don't play well together. But these two young elephants were doing just that, playing. We were watching the big guy eat, when the two "kids" came running from behind somewhere. They ran up to the large elephant and stopped as if to ask if they could go swimming, then on cue, they both turned and ran straight for the water. They played for some time as it grew darker outside and we were forced to leave, since the zoo was closing. It was worth the trip just to watch the kids play in the pool.
Oh Baby is Back DECEMBER 5, 2012 1 COMMENT A while back I gave you a taste of this T-6 Texan, but I thought you deserved to see the entire plane. It’s just that nice. Like a card player doesn’t show his entire hand all at once, I only showed you a piece of it last time. Once a month at the 1940 Air Terminal Museum, they have a fly-in, so you never know exactly who will show up. Since it faces east, it gets the morning light, which sets it apart nicely from the early sky.
A Gazebo Sunrise Using a location app, I discovered Shoreline Park while in Pensacola this year. It proved to be a great location for this sunrise.
