Hermann Park Hermann Park is an interesting place to spend the day, or just an hour or two. There are pathways and trees, water and monuments, golf courses and museums and so much more to explore. It’s really quite a treasure right in the middle of downtown Houston and the Houston Medical Center. Standing on the north edge of McGovern Lake with the Houston Zoo to your back, you can look across the Mary Gibbs and Jesse H.
