As most of us go about our days, living our routine lives, there are those people who serve in our military that are always on duty, standing watch for our country. Today is Veterans Day in the United States; a day to remember those who have previously served our country in the military and for those that have given the ultimate price. Many of us take our freedoms for granted, but they come at a high cost, especially in the form of years that people commit and the lives lost in battle. In the small town of East Benard, Texas, Old Glory stands watch as others rest comfortably at home. It is symbolic of those people doing the same for us.
I know it's not exceedingly creative, but it is what it is; a sunset with the sun peeking through the clouds.
