As the weather cool down, states and counties hold their annual fairs. This usually coincides with activities like a rodeo, art contests, chili cook-offs, and other events that bring in the crowds. But one thing they all have is the carnival.
After a recent evening of shooting horses with a friend, I’m hooked. Problem is, horses are hard to find in the suburbs. It takes a bit of effort to travel out of town to get to where the horses are. But it’s an effort I would like to take again soon. The country, the people and the animals are all great, with a friendly attitude and relaxed cadence not always found in town.
