Walking through Battleship Memorial Park I ran across a memorial I didn’t expect. Not that it didn’t belong there, it did. This memorial though, was in honor of the dogs that served and sacrificed for the men and women they served with.
This is another view of the Harris County 1910 Courthouse against just a portion of the more modern skyline of downtown Houston. In it's day, it was one of the taller structures in Houston. Now, it pales in size to the much taller skyscrapers that makeup downtown. While it may be vertically challenged by today's design standards , it makes up for in character and styling.
