Hermann Park Hermann Park is an interesting place to spend the day, or just an hour or two. There are pathways and trees, water and monuments, golf courses and museums and so much more to explore. It’s really quite a treasure right in the middle of downtown Houston and the Houston Medical Center. Standing on the north edge of McGovern Lake with the Houston Zoo to your back, you can look across the Mary Gibbs and Jesse H. The Oval Office We have seen movies of it, photos and television shows, all containing one of the most famous offices in the world, the Oval Office. I recently had the chance to stand in it, or at least an exact replica of it at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum. The Oval Office exhibit features a replica of the President's desk, decorated just as President Bush had it while he was in office. Rays of Hope When things outside have been hot and dry for too long, you start looking up. Some look up in prayer, while others look up for clouds that might carry the precious water to relieve the ground of its constant thirst.
