In my early driving days, I had an older Mustang that I fixed up and actually entered in a few auto shows. Today, I still twist my neck when passing a nice classic or hotrod on the road.
I'm happy to say that I'm not old enough to remember kitchens that look like this one. But at the time, I'm sure they thought this was the latest in styling and convenience. This is a remake of a circa 1940s kitchen at the National Naval Aviation Museum at the Naval Air Station Pensacola. They have a small town section of what things were like during WWII.
The meeting place of the U.S. House from 1807-1857 is now the main exhibition space for the National Statuary Hall collection and is one of the most historic chambers in the Capitol.
