Christmas is in the Air This weekend I had an hour to kill at the mall waiting on my daughter and her friends. I figured I would walk around for a bit, then hit the food court for something sweet. Leaving the house, I grabbed my camera, thinking I might as well make it a photo walk. After parting ways at the mall, I found myself trying to find a subject not too commercialized. It was harder than I expected. Just above Santa’s booth however, I saw several large stars that caught my eye. I walked around for a bit more and before I knew it, my time was up. I never did get that sweet treat at the food court. That’s the sacrifice you make for art, I suppose.
Fishing into the Night Whether fishermen come for the sport, or simply the peace, beauty and relaxation, you find yourself fishing late into the night, not wanting to leave.
Sugar Land Christmas I’ve taken photos here before. It’s close to work and it has a small town charm, which is hard to find in a suburb of Houston. Like many places around the country, the Sugar Land Town Center places a large Christmas tree and lots of lights on adjoining buildings, making for a festive atmosphere. The challenge is finding it when it’s not full of people. What better opportunity than on a slow Tuesday evening and add in a lite mist and the area was almost empty. The local mall, however, was a different story.
